Every MGI program follows the top-down system: the parent is prepared first, so the growth reaches the child. Here is what that looks like in practice.
The heart of the top-down system. Parents and their youth are trained together to communicate, learn, and build a better rapport with one another — in a setting where the parent's growth is treated as seriously as the child's.
Consistent, personal support for the young person — a daily check-up phone conversation, help staying on top of school work, and mentoring that promotes an excellent rapport with parents, schooling, and extra-curricular activities.
Mobilizing families out of their environment to different locations — new adventures, camp-like settings, and fun, exciting trips across the region that broaden new vision and horizon, visually.
Each track is grounded in current federal guidance and evidence-based programs.
When bullying overlaps with discriminatory harassment based on race, national origin, sex, disability or religion, federally-funded schools have an obligation to resolve it — and families should know their options with the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.
Built on the Surgeon General's Facing Addiction in America report and the keepin' it REAL curriculum — building social, emotional, cognitive and substance-refusal skills with accurate information about peer use.
Medically accurate, age-appropriate education aligned with the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) and the Office of Adolescent Health's evidence-based approach to preventing unintended pregnancy and STIs.
